Upon graduation, students are expected to be able to:
- Internalise religious, national, diversity, and maritime values; demonstrate character, social sensitivity, perseverance, and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Think critically, systematically, and innovatively with integrity; communicate effectively; and work independently/in teams using humanistic science and technology.
- Develop a professional independent enterprise in line with their interests and talents.
- Analyse religious, national, diversity, and maritime values to strengthen independent character, social sensitivity, perseverance, and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Demonstrate mastery of theoretical concepts in Arabic linguistics (equivalent to major references) and of learning and research methodology to address socio-humanitarian issues.
- Demonstrate mastery of theories of literature, culture, and modern thought in Middle Eastern societies and other Arabic-speaking countries to support the development of science and technology.
- Use Arabic fluently in reading, writing, listening, and speaking at least equivalent to CEFR B2, in both formal and informal contexts.
- Utilise advanced technology to accurately analyse Arabic linguistic, literary, and cultural sources for research and scientific publication.
- Apply principles of transliteration, transcription, and translation of Arabic-script manuscripts (intellectual property and local wisdom) appropriately for knowledge development.
The nine Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs) are structured to reflect the Knowledge–Skills–Responsibility (KSR) dimensions. Collectively, they demonstrate graduates’ knowledge base in Arabic linguistics, literature, culture, and research foundations; their skills in Arabic proficiency, critical thinking, communication, technology use, and translation-related practices; and their responsibility/autonomy, shown through integrity, values-driven character, entrepreneurship, and accountable engagement with society and professional contexts.
