Association of Arabic study program conducts curriculums workshop

The Association of Arabic Language and Literature Study Programs (Ittihad Aqsam al Lughah al Arabiyyah wa Adabiha) held a National Workshop on the Curriculum of the Arabic Language and Literature Study Program.

This workshop activity was carried out offline and was attended by Arabic language and literature study programs throughout Indonesia. The event was held 12-13 November 2021 at the Arjuna hotel, Jalan Mangkubumi Yogyakarta and was attended by 29 participants from 16 PTN and PTS both from PTKI and PTU. The event which was held for 2 days was quite productive and produced important documents in the form of graduate profiles, as well as Learning Achievements of Arabic Language and Literature Study Programs which will be used as references for Arabic Language and Literature Study Programs throughout Indonesia in compiling the curriculum in their respective study programs.

In his speech, the Chairman of the Association of Arabic Language and Literature Study Programs, Dr. Uki Sukiman, M.Ag. expressed his gratitude to all participants who attended the national workshop. Hopefully in the near future there will be a follow-up to this activity.

Arabic Literature student graduated as the best graduate

Students of the Arabic Literature Study Program, Faculty of Humanities, on behalf of St. Fatimah graduated as the best graduate and won the title of the best graduate at the Hasanuddin University level for the non-exact undergraduate program at the Graduation period II which was held on November 2, 2021, at Baruga Ap. Pettarani.

The student, who is also active as the administrator of the West Asian Literature Student Association (HIMAB), received the Cumlaude predicate with a GPA of 3.98 after successfully defending his Final Project in front of the Examiner team. The title of the thesis is entitled ZHONNA WA AKHWATUHA WA ISTI’MALATUHA FI AL-QUR’AN AL-KARIM (DIRASAH TAHLILIYYAH NAHWIYYAH) under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Najmuddin H.Abd. Safa, M.A. (Advisor 1) and Zuhriah, S.S. M. Hum. (Advisor 2).

Head of the Department of Arabic Literature Haeruddin, S.S., M.A. hopes that the achievements that have been achieved by Fatimah, who has completed her 3 years and 11 months of study, do not stop at the undergraduate level, but are also expected to be able to continue her education to Masters to Doctoral levels.
