PROFILE

The Language Learning Technology Development Center (PPTPB) is one of the leading units under the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, Hasanuddin University, which focuses on innovation, research, and technology development in the field of language learning. This center is present as a response to the needs of the times that demand integration between linguistics and advances in digital technology in the education process.
PPTPB aims to create an adaptive, effective, and technology-based language learning ecosystem, both for Indonesian, regional languages, and foreign languages ​​such as Arabic, English, and others. The main activities include the development of digital learning media, e-learning platforms, AI-based interactive applications, teacher training, and interdisciplinary research related to language education technology.
As a Center of Excellence in Science and Technology, PPTPB plays an active role in supporting the Merdeka Belajar–Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program, strengthening academic collaboration with national and international institutions, and becoming a driving force in the digitalization of language learning in Eastern Indonesia. Supported by competent human resources and continuously improving technological infrastructure, this center is expected to become a national reference in the transformation of technology-based language learning.
